Movie Review of the Week!!

Allied

McKayla Righi

This movie starts off with a man named Max he is being sent to North Africa for a secret mission to assassinate a high ranked German official. Max is undercover and there is a women (Marianne) that’s his fake wife for this period of time. After being there for a couple of days they have to go to a party, and kill a man like I said in the beginning. After they assassinate this high ranked German official they get in the car and escape out of the city. During this car ride is when things got serious between these two. Max had asked Marianne to come live with him and for her to marry him.

Then they went back to Max’s home in London, to get married and live together “forever” or so they thought. Marianne was now pregnant about to have her first child. While she was in labor there was a war going on right near the hospital. This situation had involved both planes and bombs. Marianne ended up having a baby girl named Anna. Max and Marianne were living their lives happily together this entire time.

Until Max was called into work (a military meeting with a high ranked official) on one of his days off, and found out some startling things. He found out that his wife was possibly a German spy, but it was not for sure yet. Max does not believe anything that these men are telling him. So they have a plan on how to find out if it was true or not. The men would call Max’s house at a certain time and leave him “very important information” which was all false information. If this was put through the systems, it would mean that his wife was a spy. If she is a spy, Max would have to kill Marianne with his own hands, and if he refused, he would have to be killed as well (by being hung).

Max searched and searched for evidence about his wife, in the short time period that he had. The morning of the day it was determined, Max had asked her to play a piano. This would show if she was the spy that she was sought out to be. Marianne did not play the piano so she came out and had told him everything. How she was being forced to do all of this by two Germans that lived and worked near by their home. The two threatened to hurt and kill the whole family if she didn’t do what they had said. To find out what more happens to Marianne and her family, go and watch the movie!

Allied was a excellent movie. I would recommend this for seventeen years or older. There were a few sexaul parts throughout this movie, along with brief nudity. Language was explicit during some parts, along with killing of multiple people. Other than that, this was a really good movie. I would personally watch it again because it was that good of a movie. I rate Allied a five out of five stars.
