Case Poms Competition team: Making Their Mark
Case Poms Competition Team: Making Their Mark
Madison Zuberbuehler
The Case poms competition team went to their first competition on Saturday, December 10th. They placed 4th out of 15 teams in the D1 hip hop division. It was very clear that all of their hard work since the summer really payed off.
When the music started, they felt confident despite the nerves. They knew exactly what had to be done. It was more than muscle memory, they went out there and really performed.
The poms team has worked very hard of course, but their work isn't done. Between the varsity and the competition practices, they seem to always be dancing and of course, always putting in work.
Their next competition is just around the corner, on January 28, 2017. With the new year they’re hoping to make a new mark in the poms world.
Last year our poms team didn't make it to state, but that is definitely not the plan for the poms team this year. They want to do big things, and this season means a lot to them. Every girl is invested beyond belief and they all want the best for the team.
Each and everyone wants to remember the feeling of hearing their name being called for 4th place. It's not that they didn't think it was possible, but they were definitely surprised. With all the amazing teams that were there they weren't expecting to place so well, but they were hoping. It's clear each girl on the team is beyond talented, and want to better themselves, the team, and make the team's name a big name in the dance world.
