The Academics!!📝

Did you know freshmen can save thousands and thousands of dollars before they graduate High School? Think about it, next year RUSD is starting something called “The Academies”.

Each academy has its own unique pathways, that will carve out your future as a student/adult.

Case High School is offering the following three ACADEMIES and their PATHWAYS :

  • Academy of Business, Marketing and I.T.

  • Business

  • Marketing

  • I.T.

  • Finance

  • Academy of Fine Arts, Science, and Health and Public services

  • Health Occupations

  • Child's World/ Teaching

  • Culinary Arts

  • Academy of Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, and Transportation

  • Engineering

  • Manufacturing

  • Automotive

  • Construction

After the break, every freshman will have a very important choice… depending on what you choose, you might be able to earn college credits for free, while in high school! Choose your electives carefully in January because it can affect what Academy you will be placed in for the future. Choose Wisely!

The academy you decide on will provide you with the advanced skills you need to be successful in the next stage of life. The academies are also designed to improve graduation rates in the district.

You will still have all your core classes, except everyone from your core classes will be the same people that are in your Academy. All of your core classes will be connected, meaning the subject matter will be revolved around your Academy.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

This is Keith Wartzenluft, Sara Gauthier, Nick Schwei, and Kari Morey at a training in Nashville in September. They are the Academy Leads at Case High School.
