Being a student at Case, you have the ability to meet and interact with a wide range of individuals. Our school is full of people from different backgrounds, as well as cultures.
The main thing that separates our high school in comparison to others is the staff and faculty. They are a huge make up of our school and help make our educational environment feel safe and secure. As a Case student it’s not uncommon to have interacted with the hall monitors. Whether it was a simple “hello” on your way to class or a friendly conversation, we’re surrounded by caring and compassionate adult figures.
Tamika Robinson happens to be one of them. You can always see her bright cheerful smile illuminating the halls. She brings positive energy and a warm heart.
Case newspaper is featuring, “Staff Member Of The Week” throughout their weekly entries. It’s without a doubt that Tamika would be selected.
Tamika is a mother of seven kids, five boys and two girls. She’s a strong believer in students success and for many, she’s their role model. Myself included.
“There's been plenty of changes made in our school system, but the main focus is our students. It’s important they have a strong support system to handle both their school issues, as well as their home life altercations. Some students struggle with issues that staff members are unaware of, that make school more challenging.” said Mrs. Robinson.
With that being said, she also talked about what she believes should be an essential part of our education system.
“I feel the main focus should be communication. Students need to feel heard, and so do the teachers. When bonds are formed, it is proven to show academic improvements. Relationships between students and staff is also a key component.” said Mrs. Robinson.
“Personally, I enjoy interacting with the students, so they feel they have a support system. Even if it's just an ear to listen to their personal problems.”, said Tamika Robinson.
High school can be a challenging time for teens. It’s important they have strong bonds as well as forming relationships with administrations, so they can encourage them to do the best of their abilities. Which at Case High school we give the students the best learning and academic foundation they need to help them towards success.
