On February 12th 2016, was the 59th Grammy awards show. The best performances included Beyoncé, Adele, A Tribe Called Quest, Chance the Rapper, and Bruno Mars.
Chance The Rapper
With winning the grammy for Best New Rap Album, Chance beat several established artist including Kanye West and Drake. Although Chance is not a new artist, especially not to the Chicago area, he also won Best New Artist of 2016.
Beyoncé
From her debut album “Lemonade”, Beyoncé gave an outstanding performance. Her head was wrapped in a gold head piece and she was draped in gold jewels. With all white dancers around her, she portrayed a motherly figure. The stunning singer and songwriter sang “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles”.
