This season, Case High school sports have been achieving great things. Many sports were not only on the road for state, but some attended, and made the Case athletic program proud.
This year the boys swim and dive team sent Zach Pate to state to compete for a title in dive. After a long season containing hard practices and many dive meets, Zach gave it his all in Madison, the state capital.
Although Zach did not place at state, Case High School is still very proud that we had a representative of the school fight hard for a state title. It is not easy to be on track to qualify for state, let alone get the experience of going.
Another team doing great things this season is the Cheer competition team. They qualified for state and then the following weekend they placed second in their division. Competing in Nationals, regionals, and state all back to back was a great way to close out the season and set new standards for the program and school.
One team that has put on a long and great fight is the boys basketball team. They had a season that was overall filled with success. The team made it to playoffs, beating Park with a three point shot in the last second of the game. They moved on to the next game and Riverside School in Milwaukee.
After a long game with a fluctuating score, a very similar situation to the night before presented itself. With eight seconds on the clock the team needed three points to win and two to tie. Sadly, neither happened, and Case lost by two points, ending the season for the boys.
Despite the fact that not every sport went to state, Case has many sports on the road to great things. Eagles are always achieving the best.
