Student of the Week: Jack Chen!!!

What do you like to do in your free time?

This one’s easy. Eat, sleep, and do my homework.

What classes do you like/hate? Why?

I like Choir because I get to sing. Then the class I dislike is Geometry. Mostly because I don’t get it and the fact that my teacher doesn’t like to explain it well.

Describe your favorite teacher.

My favorite teacher is Mrs. Steege. She can be strict at times but she is actually really nice and funny once you get to know her.

If school could be about one thing, what would you want it to be?

I would want it to be how to manage our payments because, isn’t that what school is about? To prepare us for the outside world and the future when we are on our own and full grown adults.

If you had a choice to come to school or not, would you come? Why?

I would come because I want my education. I want to be smart and go to college.

What sports or activities have you participated in the past?

I’m in choir for competition and I’m going to play tennis once the season starts.

What are your greatest talents?

My greatest talents are, I can pick up on things really quick. Like, you show me one time and I got it down. Another talent is, I went to nationals for men’s choir.

Do you like group or individual work? Why?

Group, because we can get things done quicker and more efficient. Also you get different views and thoughts from more people that you maybe never thought of.

How do you organize your backpack or locker?

In my backpack I put my folders in the back area and then all of my notebooks in front of them.

Do you get good grades? Do you think you could do better?

Yes, I get mostly A’s and B’s. Yes, I can definitely do better!
