Spring Sport Weather

This year, Wisconsin’s weather has been disappointing when it comes to playing on time, from sports ranging from tennis to track and everything inbetween.

These past two weeks for softball have been miserable as well. This past Monday, Case Softball was planning on playing Franklin for their first SEC Conference game, but it was cancelled.

“It sucks butt,” said catcher Taylor Vance. The girls began to warm up and within minutes of the rain beginning to pick up, the field was underwater.

“We are ready to choke slam each other out of frustration,” outfielder Haylee Hess stated.

Within the two weeks the girls had been playing, they only played one game against West Bend, Coach Donald Katzer’s hometown.

As for tennis, the boys had a tournament over the weekend and had matches yesterday. They played Franklin as well but were not pleased with the outcome, as they had lost. The day before their big match, the tennis players had to practice inside due to the rain.

“It was bad, but we knew Franklin was good,” Will Moes says. He lost his matches 1-6 and 6-0.
