Athlete of the Week: Tyreik Thomas

Case High school is full of talented students. Especially on our Track team. Both the boys and the girls track teams run up the charts as they compete in numerous events.
One athlete that really sticks out the most is, Tyreik Thomas. Regardless if it’s the classroom or on the field, Tyreik is constantly putting his “best foot” forward. As we selected him to be “Athlete of the week”, we asked him a few questions to get to know him better.
What grade are you in?
“I am a senior.”
What college do you plan on going to?
“I'm going to college in whitewater.”
How do you prepare yourself for meets?
“I get plenty of sleep before meets and listen to motivating music.”
Who or what do you say motivates you?
“I would say my teammates do. They encourage me to do my best and are very supportive.”
What's your biggest track achievement?
“I would say, winning indoor state.”
What is your favorite track event?
“My favorite track event would be the 4x200, because I won state's fastest.”
