Man drives on bike lane in NYC

Tuesday, October 31’s, New York Terrorist attack left eight dead and many injured as a suspect drove a rental truck onto a popular New York City bike path.

29-year-old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Siapov drove the Home Depot rental truck onto the bike path in New York City, blocks from the World Trade Center, before crashing into a school bus. Eight were left dead after New York’s deadliest terrorist attack since 9/11.

Saipov was originally from Uzbekistan, living in New Jersey and working as an Uber driver for the last six months. He arrived in the U.S. using the diversity immigrant visa program.

He was charged with providing material support to ISIS, and violence and destruction of motor vehicles.

Siapov used the truck as his weapon to “inflict maximum damage against civilians.” An attack was planned a year ago, but Siapov decided two months ago to use the truck. Around 90 ISIS propaganda videos and around 4,000 images were found on Siapov’s cellphone. A note was left by Siapov in both English and Arabic text claiming that the Islamic State will endure.

Wednesday night, President Trump tweeted "NYC terrorist was happy as he asked to hang ISIS flag in his hospital room. He killed 8 people, badly injured 12. SHOULD GET DEATH PENALTY!” Trump also intends to eliminate the diversity immigrant visa program. “ (It) Sounds nice, it is not nice, it is not good. It hasn't been good and we have been against it."

Siapov had previous traffic citations from Missouri and Pennsylvania. He was arrested in October of 2012 by Missouri State Highway Patrol after failing to appear in court for a misdemeanor offense.

President Trump later showed his condolences through Twitter, and Andrew Cuomo, New York Governor, directed that one World Trade Center be lit in red, white and blue showing freedom and democracy.
