Mr. Hanson

Algebra can be a difficult subject for some students, whether it's simply the lack of understanding or the workload that comes with it. Luckily, for Case High School, we have teams of math teachers who do their best to help us overcome our mathematical obstacles.

Many of these teachers work long hours, staying after school, staying in for lunch, and using their personal time to tutor and help struggling students. One of those teachers is Mr. Hanson. Mr. Hanson is a hard working, fresh face to our school.

A recent graduate from University of Milwaukee, he has joined our math department in hopes to help give a positive role model to high schoolers. Although, math wasn’t his first career choice-- he was looking into the engineering field. He felt that he would make more of an impact in teaching. He's always had a passion for math, so he felt that would be the best fit for him.

He stated the love he has for our school. There's so much opportunity here, and the students have the ability to achieve their goals they set for themselves. Case sometimes gets a bad reputation for our academic scores and attendance issues, but he feels that teachers have the biggest impact.

“When teachers give students a positive role model and a safe learning environment, they’ll be more willing to participate and ask questions,” said Hanson.

The overall goal that he has for his students is they understand that they have the ability to get an education and expand their learning capacity.
