Sociology, that required class that’s needed to be on every seniors schedule before they walk the stage, is under appreciated. Like many other classes that are offered to Case students, this one goes unrecognized.
For many high schoolers, our opinions aren’t heard and usually go unnoticed. However, in Ms.Wemmert’s class, it’s a different case. Her class is full of ambitious students ready to state their viewpoints.
As a student in her class myself, it's a safe environment to talk about serious issues. She offers structured conversation and adult guidance. She's an honest, dedicated teacher, who truly cares about her students.
She graduated from UW- Parkside in 2016, and her professors that she had pushed her into the direction of sociology. She's a strong believer in student advocacy as well as peer interactions.
When asked what she wished could be improved around Case High School, she expressed how she wished older kids communicated and were more involved with the younger students in our community.
Her overall goal is she wants an open relationship with her students. She aspires to be a positive role model as well as offer a safe atmosphere to express themselves.
